Job Summary

Antenna Research Associates, Inc. is looking for a Jr. Accountant with a focus on Accounts Payable. This role will be responsible for performing vouchering of AP invoices, reconciling GL accounts and vendor accounts. They must have a solid understanding of accounting principles. This position will be support to the assistant controller and will be an integral part of the accounting team.

Essential Functions

  • Manager accounts payable processes, including invoice vouchering, three-way matching, error review, coding and reconciliations to the general ledger.
  • Bi-weekly payroll processing, including vendor coordination, tax filing verification, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations, including general ledger accounts and AP-related credit card statements.
  • Prepare credit application requests.
  • Assist with financial statement analysis and audits.
  • Provide support for audits, reporting and ad hoc accounting projects.

Experience and Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounts payable process, including three-way match (PO, receipt, invoice) and vouchering AP expense invoices in a structured ERP environment.
  • Proven ability to perform timely and accurate reconciliations, vendor statements, credit card activity, and GL accounts accurately and on time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective time-management skills with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.

Education

  • BS/BA degree in accounting or business preferred, or combination of associate’s degree in accounting may be considered with experience.
