Position Summary

At Capital Regional Pharmacy Services, we take pride in serving individuals in long-term care and residential settings with compassion, accuracy, and integrity. We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician who shares our commitment to patient care—someone who ensures that every individual receives the right medication, at the right dose, at the right time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated to advocate for patients while supporting pharmacists in both traditional dispensing and compounding operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prescription Processing & Data Entry
    • Enter prescription orders into the pharmacy management system with precision and attention to detail.
    • Review patient and facility profiles for accuracy and completeness
    • Communicate promptly with facilities or caregivers to resolve missing or unclear information.
  • Medication Preparation , Filling & Compounding
    • Assist pharmacists with labeling, packaging, and preparing prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy regulations
    • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper storage of medications and supplies.
    • Accurately measure, mix, and prepare compounded medications while maintaining proper documentation.
    • Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and beyond-use dating per regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure proper cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of compounding equipment and workspaces.
  • Delivery Preparation & Coordination
    • Prepare prescriptions, documentation, and manifests for delivery routes.
    • Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure timely and accurate distribution of medications to facilities.
  • Vaccine & Clinical Support
    • Support pharmacists in planning and conducting vaccine clinics, including scheduling, paperwork, and supply management.
    • Prepare and organize vaccine materials, consent forms, and post-vaccination documentation.
    • Assist with on-site or community vaccine clinics as directed.
  • General Support & Compliance
    • Adhere to all federal and state pharmacy laws, HIPAA requirements, and Capital Regional Pharmacy Services policies and procedures.
    • Support pharmacists with audits, record-keeping, and quality assurance initiatives.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth, compliant, and compassionate pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

  • A compassionate attitude and commitment to patient advocacy.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a long-term care or closed-door pharmacy preferred.
  • CPhT certificate Preferred.

The pay range for this role is:
23 - 26 USD per hour(Phoenix, AZ)
