Description: We are offering exciting career opportunities for Construction Inspectors Level II thru IV. H&H currently has multiple inspection projects for roadway, highway and bridge projects in New York City Boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, and in Nassau County.

Responsibilities
Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or NICET Certification, and experience with highway and/or bridge construction as follows:

Responsibilities
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and any special requirements
- Working knowledge of mathematics with the ability to apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles to field measure quantities and calculate quantities of completed work to recommend payment to the contractor for items of work
- Ability to prepare clear and concise Daily Inspection Reports to document the work performed; the manpower, material, and equipment used; field measure and calculate quantities of work completed and other pertinent information
- Operational knowledge of field inspection equipment
- Good oral and written communication skill
Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or NICET Certification, and experience with highway and/or bridge construction as follows:
- Level II Inspector : Minimum of two years' related experience
- Level III Senior Inspector or Office Engineer: Minimum of five years of related experience
- Level IV Chief Inspector or Resident Engineer: Minimum of ten years' related experience
- Working knowledge of highway and/or bridge construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications
- American Concrete Institute (ACI Concrete Testing certification (preferred)
- Work Zone Traffic Control certifications (preferred)
- 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Training certification
- NYSDOT and/or NYC Dept. of Design & Construction experience preferred, depending on the project
- Experience with NYSDOT SiteManager reporting software for DOT projects (preferred)
- Experience with NYCDOT and/or NYCDDC (preferred)
- Good writing and communication skills
