Job Description

Positively Partners Senior Human Resources Generalist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist in United States.

This role sits at the center of a mission-driven, multi-client HR service environment, supporting nonprofit and social impact organizations with high-quality, compliant, and people-centered HR operations. You will act as a trusted operational HR partner, managing a high volume of employee and manager requests across multiple client contexts while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and care in every interaction. The position requires strong judgment to navigate complex HR questions, multi-state compliance requirements, and sensitive employee matters. You will also play a key role in leave administration, performance support, and recurring HR cycles, ensuring seamless execution across systems and stakeholders. Working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, you will collaborate closely with HR leadership to improve processes, standardize practices, and enhance service delivery. This is a hands-on, detail-intensive role for an HR professional who thrives in complexity and enjoys making a direct impact on employees’ experience.

Accountabilities:
  • Serve as a primary operational HR contact across a multi-client portfolio, managing high volumes of employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Support end-to-end leave of absence and ADA administration, including eligibility review, documentation, communication, and coordination across payroll, benefits, and stakeholders.
  • Interpret and apply multi-state employment policies, ensuring compliance while guiding employees and managers through clear, actionable communication.
  • Manage HRIS-related reporting and troubleshooting activities, identifying data or process inconsistencies and escalating when necessary.
  • Support employee relations and performance processes by drafting documentation, advising managers, and ensuring consistency with policy and organizational standards.
  • Contribute to the standardization of HR processes by developing templates, knowledge resources, and improved workflows for recurring inquiries.
  • Support annual HR cycles such as performance reviews, open enrollment, and compliance communications, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
Requirements:

Candidates should bring strong generalist HR experience, with proven ability to operate in complex, multi-client or multi-entity environments. The role requires a high level of independence, strong judgment, and comfort managing sensitive HR matters in a fast-paced, compliance-driven setting.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience across core HR functions.
  • Experience managing leave of absence and ADA processes end-to-end.
  • Background working across multiple entities, clients, or jurisdictions with varying HR policies or compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR systems.
  • Experience working in or supporting organizations with 800+ employees or equivalent scale and complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law and HR compliance practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex HR topics into clear, empathetic guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in high-volume environments.
  • HR certification (SHRM or PHR/SPHR) or relevant degree preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as Dayforce is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range ($72,000–$82,000) with discretionary performance-based bonus
  • Comprehensive and inclusive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Remote work flexibility with East Coast time zone alignment
  • Paid time off and standard holidays
  • Professional development and ongoing HR training support
  • Opportunity to work with mission-driven nonprofit and social impact organizations
  • Collaborative, values-driven work culture focused on equity and inclusion
