Job Description
The Hospitality + Experience Manager is a relationship-driven, service-oriented position responsible for creating welcoming, meaningful, and beautifully executed experiences that reflect Salt + Light's mission, values, and culture of Radical Hospitality. This role oversees donor and guest hospitality, stewardship experiences, fundraising and development events, and the intentional presentation of Salt + Light's physical spaces.
The Hospitality + Experience Manager serves as the primary champion of hospitality throughout the organization, ensuring every donor, volunteer, guest, partner, and neighbor experiences dignity, belonging, and genuine care. Through thoughtful attention to detail, intentional design, and exceptional execution, this role helps create memorable experiences that strengthen relationships, foster generosity, and reinforce Salt + Light's mission.
Working under the supervision of the Director of Development and in collaboration with the entire Development team, this position combines hospitality, event coordination + execution, stewardship, and experience design to help cultivate an organizational culture where every interaction reflects excellence, warmth, and belonging.

Hospitality & Guest Experience
- Coordinate day-to-day hospitality efforts that ensure every guest, donor, volunteer, partner, and visitor feels welcomed, valued, and cared for.
- Prepare donor tours, meetings, and special visits, including refreshments, welcome materials, gifts, and hospitality details.
- Maintain hospitality spaces to ensure they remain organized, welcoming, and aligned with Salt + Light's culture and values.
- Coordinate hospitality supplies, inventory, and guest materials.
- Support team celebrations, staff appreciation efforts, milestone recognitions, and organizational gatherings.
- Identify opportunities to create meaningful moments of connection through thoughtful hospitality.
- Ensure hospitality experiences consistently reflect dignity, belonging, compassion, and Radical Hospitality.
- Coordinate stewardship experiences that strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, partners, and supporters.
- Prepare welcome gifts, appreciation gifts, holiday gifting, handwritten notes, and other stewardship materials.
- Coordinate donor appreciation efforts and recognition experiences throughout the year.
- Assist with stewardship events, donor gatherings, and relationship-building opportunities.
- Maintain stewardship inventory, gift supplies, and appreciation materials.
- Collaborate with the Development team to ensure stewardship experiences are timely, intentional, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify creative ways to enhance donor engagement through meaningful hospitality and personalized experiences.
- Lead the planning and execution of development fundraising events, and donor experiences.
- Coordinate event timelines, logistics, checklists, and implementation plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, rentals, caterers, and event partners.
- Source event décor, supplies, rentals, gifts, and hospitality materials.
- Coordinate volunteer support related to event execution as needed.
- Assist with event budgeting, purchasing, and expense tracking.
- Lead the planning and execution of Salt + Light's annual Summer Soirée, World Ag Expo presence, donor events, and additional organizational gatherings in collaboration with the Director of Development.
- Ensure every event is executed with excellence, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Help create welcoming environments that reflect Salt + Light's mission, brand, and culture of belonging.
- Coordinate seasonal decorating, holiday décor, and special environmental enhancements throughout Salt + Light facilities.
- Assist in designing event aesthetics, signage, décor, and guest experiences.
- Maintain visually cohesive and welcoming donor, volunteer, and community spaces.
- Collaborate with the entire Development Department to ensure physical environments align with organizational branding and storytelling.
- Identify opportunities to improve guest-facing environments through thoughtful design and hospitality.
- Manage event inventory, including décor, linens, signage, supplies, storage, and equipment.
- Coordinate transportation, setup, and breakdown of event materials.
- Prepare event packets, signage, hospitality items, gifts, and presentation materials.
- Maintain event storage areas, inventory systems, and warehouse organization.
- Coordinate vendor deliveries and onsite event logistics.
- Ensure event materials remain organized, maintained, and readily available for future use.

- Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.

- Preferred
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, guest services, fundraising events, or donor relations.
- Experience coordinating vendors and managing event logistics.
- Background in hospitality, customer experience, interior design, visual merchandising, event design, or related fields.
- Experience working in nonprofit organizations or mission-driven environments.
- Familiarity with donor stewardship and relationship management practices.
