Job Description

About the Role:
The Research & Development (R&D) Associate is responsible for identifying, evaluating, testing, and recommending emerging technologies that enhance SentriForce's video surveillance, security, and monitoring solutions. This role requires you to conduct market research, performing technical evaluations, and supporting product development initiatives. The R&D Associate collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure that recommended solutions align with company objectives, technical requirements, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging hardware, software,
analytics, and surveillance technologies relevant to the company's strategic
objectives.
Evaluate and test surveillance equipment, including cameras, servers, software
platforms, cloud solutions, artificial intelligence applications, and analytics tools.
Assess product performance, reliability, scalability, cybersecurity considerations,
and integration capabilities.
Document technical specifications, testing procedures, performance metrics,
compatibility requirements, and evaluation results.
Perform cost-benefit analyses and determine the overall value and effectiveness of
proposed technologies.
Develop business cases, return-on-investment (ROI) analyses, and
recommendation reports for leadership review.
Collaborate with Engineering, Information Technology, Product Management,
Operations, and Security teams to identify improvement opportunities and validate
technical requirements.
Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of pilot programs designed
to test new technologies and solutions.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations regarding system integration,
deployment strategies, and operational impact.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with technology vendors,
manufacturers, and solution providers.
Coordinate product demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and vendor
meetings.
Negotiate evaluation agreements, trial periods, and testing arrangements with
suppliers and partners.
Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, regulatory changes, and
technological advancements to maintain a competitive advantage.
Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and project updates to
management and key stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the company's
innovation strategy.

Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science,
Security Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience
may be considered.

Experience
1–3 years of experience in technology research, product evaluation, systems
integration, security technology, surveillance systems, or a related technical field
preferred.
Experience working with video surveillance, physical security systems, networking,
cloud technologies, or enterprise software solutions is highly desirable.
Experience conducting technical analysis, product testing, or market research is
preferred.

Key Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to evaluate technical solutions and translate findings into business
recommendations.
Understanding of video surveillance systems, camera technologies, networking
fundamentals, storage infrastructure, and software platforms.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed technical
reports and documentation.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors and cross
functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to a rapidly evolving industry.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings, product demonstrations,
training, or industry events.
