The Division of Classical Hematology, in the Department of Medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) is seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Professor of Medicine in the appointment stream focused on a part-time academic practice in classical hematology.

The ideal candidate has interests in outpatient clinical and research in hemostasis, thrombosis, Porphyria and or hemoglobinopathies. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to develop and lead research studies and to support continuity, collaboration, and visibility for the Division of Classical Hematology.

Applicants will have an MD degree and will have served five to seven years as Associate Professor. The rank of professor recognizes the attainment of authoritative knowledge and reputation in a recognized field of learning and the achievement of effective teaching skills. The professor should have attained superior stature in their field through scholarship, professional practice, and leadership in professional and learned organizations.
