Maintenace Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
Repair any maintenance issues within the building and effectively coordinate maintenance and repairs with outside contractors and vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Minor maintenance such as drywall repair, painting, hanging TVs and pictures, putting together furniture, changing filters and light bulbs, regular maintenance checks for hazards and troubleshooting maintenance issues.
- Assist housekeeping in the upkeep of the facilities such as keeping the building clean and orderly, garbage removal, maintaining the physical structure of the building, setting up and breakdown of furniture as directed by management for events, and delivering packages/equipment to respectful departments.
- Checking maintenance book on a regular basis and coordinating annual building inspections.
- Monitor electrical system such as air/heat controls, participant and team entrances/access doors, checking fire extinguishers, appliances, and coordinate with outside vendors for major repairs.
- Maintain safety of outside grounds such as ensuring handrails are intact, lighting is sufficient, patio is maintained and there are no cracks in the cement that maybe hazardous.
- Coordinate quarterly fire drills with the fire inspector and orchestrate drills with staff, including a post-drill meeting and obtaining sign-in sheets. In addition, inspect, tag, and initial fire extinguishers throughout the building.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Read and write English
- Has worked in plant operations or associated services that require facility maintenance.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
- Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact.
