Requirements:What You'll Do
- Safely handle and restrain patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care, diagnostics, and treatments
- Prepare patients for surgery, imaging, and medical procedures
- Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes to the medical team
- Assist with patient recovery, comfort care, feeding, and walking hospitalized patients
- Support laboratory, radiology, MRI, CT, anesthesia, and surgical procedures as directed
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with patient admissions and discharges
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies
- Provide compassionate and professional support to clients and patients
What We Are Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Previous veterinary, animal care, kennel, or medical experience preferred
- Veterinary Assistant certification, Fear Free Certification, or specialty/emergency experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient restraint throughout the workday. Team members must be able to safely work around animals, medical equipment, anesthesia, radiology, cleaning agents, and potential biological hazards while maintaining professionalism and composure in a fast-paced clinical environment.
