Who We Are:
St. Joseph's/Candler is rich in history and heritage. Its anchor institutions, St. Joseph's Hospital and Candler Hospital, are two of the oldest continuously operating hospitals in the nation. As such, both have been a part of the Savannah landscape and culture for a combined history of more than 350 years. In 1997, the two legendary hospitals and their various entities developed a joint operating agreement, creating the largest health system in Southeast Georgia and the South Carolina Low Country.
What You’ll Do:
The Medical Assistant abides by the company’s specified boundaries of duty and follows and implements the rules and regulations set forth by the standards of practice as applicable. The Medical Assistant performs only those acts, functions or tasks that the employee is qualified, trained, knowledgeable and/or skilled to perform, per the direct order and supervision of the Provider on duty as allowable by the Provider’s delegation authority. The Medical Assistant accepts responsibility for individual actions and continued competence. The employee will complete all competency and proficiency training required by company policy.
License/Certification:
- For Medical Assistant: Certified Medical Assistant - Required
- For LPN: Professional License with State of Practice - Required
- For Rad Technologist: Current State Radiology License (ARRT), other state specific licensure and certifications - Required
Our Requirements:
- For Medical Assistant: Medical Assistant program as applicable per state requirements - Required
- For LPN: Nursing Degree - Required
- For Rad Technologist: Associates in radiology technnology, radiology, or related field - Required
- 1-2 Years’ Experience - Preferred
