This role sits at the intersection of structured finance, capital markets execution, and renewable energy investment strategy, supporting the financing of large-scale clean energy and solar initiatives. The Capital Markets Associate will play a key role in developing financial models, executing tax equity and debt transactions, and supporting capital raising activities across structured finance products. You will work closely with internal finance, treasury, accounting, and data teams, as well as external banking and investment partners, to ensure efficient funding execution. The position requires strong analytical capability and a deep understanding of financial structures that enable renewable energy adoption at scale. It is a highly collaborative and fast-moving environment where precision, stakeholder management, and financial insight directly impact growth and project deployment. - Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based financial models supporting tax equity, debt, and structured finance transactions.
- Lead execution of capital raising processes, including tax equity, debt, and equity funding initiatives with external financial partners.
- Support structuring, negotiation, and closing of financing transactions aligned with project and portfolio requirements.
- Collaborate with internal finance, treasury, accounting, and data teams to ensure accurate reporting and financial alignment.
- Manage reporting processes for capital markets activities and support automation efforts with technology teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other external capital partners.
- Analyze and interpret macroeconomic and market trends impacting structured finance and renewable energy investments.
- Support make-versus-structure decisions and evaluate financing options to optimize capital deployment.
- Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities across capital markets workflows.
- Ensure transparency and coordination across stakeholders to support successful financing execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 3–5+ years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or structured finance roles.
- Experience with tax equity, debt financing, or renewable energy/project finance is strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Solid understanding of macroeconomic drivers and structured finance concepts.
- Proven experience executing complex financial transactions in fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional, matrixed teams.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive efficiency in financial workflows.
