Job Description

Summary:

This position is ideal for a driven, relationship‑oriented sales professional who thrives in the medical device ecosystem. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for growing revenue, expanding market presence, and building long‑term partnerships with OEMs, startups, and engineering teams across the Northeastern United States. The role focuses on promoting our contract manufacturing capabilities including design support, precision manufacturing, assembly, and regulatory‑aligned production — to customers developing medical devices and life‑science technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets in the Northeastern U.S.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with medical device OEMs, emerging companies, and product development firms.
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with engineering, R&D, procurement, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Present manufacturing capabilities, technical strengths, and value propositions tailored to customer needs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and handoff to internal project teams.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure accurate quoting and seamless project onboarding.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving customer requirements.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events within the territory.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, CRM updates, and regular reporting on pipeline activity.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of outside sales experience, ideally in medical device, contract manufacturing, precision machining, or related technical industries.
  • Strong understanding of medical device development cycles, regulatory considerations, and manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, molding, assembly, packaging).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical or consultative sales environment.
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer value.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a large geographic territory.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Northwestern U.S. (approx. 40–60%).

Preferred Experience

  • Background selling to engineering, R&D, or procurement teams.
  • Experience with long sales cycles and multi‑stakeholder decision processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA requirements, or other medical device quality systems.

Compensation

  • The typical base pay range for this role is between $120,000-150,000/year plus variable compensation. Actual compensation will be based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience.
