Sr Principal Consultant, IFS Practice Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Principal Consultant, IFS Practice Lead based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex enterprise transformation initiatives and shape the future of an IFS consulting practice.
You will act as a trusted advisor for organizations operating in highly regulated and mission-critical industries.
The position combines strategic consulting, hands-on solution architecture, delivery leadership, and practice development.
You will guide customers through large-scale ERP modernization, upgrades, migrations, and operational improvements.
Working with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery specialists, you will drive measurable business outcomes.

Accountabilities:

As a senior consulting leader, you will own end-to-end delivery of complex IFS engagements while helping expand consulting capabilities and customer value. You will combine technical expertise, business understanding, and leadership skills to guide transformation programs, mentor teams, and influence strategic decisions.

  • Lead full lifecycle IFS engagements, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, migration, deployment, adoption, and post-go-live support.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by identifying underlying business challenges and designing scalable IFS solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Lead IFS Applications 10 to IFS Cloud upgrade programs, including assessments, planning, estimation, customization decisions, data migration, cutover activities, and stabilization.
  • Architect solutions across key business domains including asset management, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, projects, and operational processes.
  • Incorporate security, compliance, and regulatory requirements into solution architecture and deployment strategies for regulated environments.
  • Manage delivery performance across multiple engagements, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and customer expectations.
  • Lead workshops, executive presentations, design sessions, and stakeholder meetings to maintain alignment and drive successful outcomes.
  • Mentor consultants and technical specialists while promoting best practices, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business development teams to support solution design, proposals, customer discussions, and growth opportunities.
  • Develop internal methodologies, tools, and frameworks while helping establish and expand the IFS practice capability.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced IFS consultant and delivery leader with a strong background in ERP transformation, regulated industries, and complex technology implementations. You should combine deep functional knowledge with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience leading IFS upgrade and migration engagements, particularly IFS Applications 10 to IFS Cloud transformations.
  • Proven experience delivering ERP solutions within aerospace, defense, maritime, manufacturing, or other complex operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IFS domains such as asset management, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and project management.
  • Multiple IFS Cloud certifications, particularly in priority areas such as Asset Management and Manufacturing.
  • Experience working with regulated environments and security frameworks such as ITAR, DFARS, CMMC, NIST, FIPS, or similar compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams involving customers, vendors, technical specialists, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements while maintaining delivery quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently identify challenges, make decisions, and drive solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in remote, distributed, and collaborative environments.
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined under ITAR regulations; active security clearance is preferred but not required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • IFS Certified Practitioner credentials in IFS Cloud, including technical or functional specialization.
  • Progress toward IFS Certified Expert-level credentials.
  • Previous experience with legacy IFS versions or equivalent ERP transformation programs.
  • PMP certification or similar project management credentials.
  • Prosci or ADKAR change management certification.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, and additional government security frameworks.
  • Experience mentoring consultants and developing consulting teams.
Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary range of $149,000 - $202,000.
