Lake Park Center is a specialized mental health facility and our hiring for a fulltime Housekeeper with the hours of 9:30am - 6pm. We take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for consumers and staff. Our team values reliability, teamwork and attention to detail.

1. Wet mops consumer rooms and bathrooms daily.

2. Uses “Wet Floor” signs and other cautions as indicated.

3. Dusts in assigned work areas.

4. Cleans draperies and privacy curtains.

5. Cleans consumer beds and closets per schedule.

6. Sanitizes consumer unit using proper policies and procedures.

7. Washes windows and mirrors per schedule.

8. Label all compounds and chemicals properly and store them in locked storage areas.

9. Follows user directions for all compounds and chemicals.

10. Uses proper body mechanics

11. Follows proper infection control practices.

12. Follows proper hand-washing practices.

13. Washes walls and ceilings.

14. Keeps ash trays and wastebaskets emptied.

15. Adheres to cleaning duties and schedule for area assigned.

16. Disposes of garbage safely, promptly, and in a sanitary manner.

17. Reports promptly any indication of rodents and other pests.

18. Maintains clean storage area.

19. Stores cleaning rags in closed metal containers.

20. Observes for consumer safety when in consumer care areas.

21. Maintains fire aisles when using cleaning cart.

22. Observes, reports, and intervenes in potential fire/safety hazards.

23. Treats consumers and staff with respect and dignity.

24. Adheres to all facility and department safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

· Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred but not required

. Attention to detail - Ensuring thorough cleaning and organization

. Reliability and time management - Completing tasks efficiently and consistently

. Physical stamina - Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

. Teamwork and independence - Working collaboratively with staff or independently as required

. Provide excellent customer service to consumers

. No convictions for abuse, neglect or mistreatment or for misappropriation of property

. Prompt and regular attendance.
