As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Training and Drills Program Manager to join our team and drive our relationships with hyperscale clients to new heights.

Data Center Training and Drills Program Manager:

The Data Center Training and Drills Program Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs for data center staff. This role ensures that all team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties efficiently and safely, adhering to company policies and industry standards.

Their duties include speaking with department heads and personnel to determine training needs, implementing training programs into company procedures and reviewing data from previous training programs to determine their success in helping employees develop the necessary critical facilities skill sets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage the training curriculum within the Operations organization.

· Administer training curriculum assignment, participation, and scheduling.

· Develop training standards and qualification requirements for various roles in the department.

· Administration of Learning Management System (LMS).

· Develop, coordinate, and implement drills for the operations teams.

· Develop various defined reports to executive leadership for training compliance.

· Manage onsite training activity scheduling and participation at remote site operations locations.

· In conjunction with department heads, divisional leads, and other subject matter experts, design and develop training programs, materials, and resources based on identified needs.

· Develop training specific templates for courses, reports, and related material.

· Identify training needs by evaluating employee performance and organizational goals.

· Assess training effectiveness and adjust as needed to enhance employee performance and organizational success.

· Coordinate and conduct general training sessions, ensuring effective delivery of content to employees.

· Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and other evaluation methods.

· Modify training programs as necessary to meet evolving organizational needs and industry trends.

· Manage the budget allocated for training initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

· Utilize technology for e-learning, virtual training, and other innovative training solutions.

· Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in training and development.

· Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and results.

· Effectively communicate with employees, management, and other stakeholders to promote the value of training initiatives.

· Provide leadership and guidance to department staff, fostering a positive learning culture within the organization.

· Stay updated on emerging technologies in data center management and incorporate them into training programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· 5 years of progressive, hands-on experience in critical, data center operations, maintenance, and engineering within the data center industry or Military (ex: Navy Nuke, Electrician / Machinist Mate) environment or other relevant experience.

· Candidate must be technically proficient in planning, scheduling, and exhibit excellent organizational skills.

· Candidate must possess strong communication skills, the ability to lead coordination meetings, and actively facilitate progress to achieve scheduled goals.

· Demonstrates and has good people skills, good judgment, and flexibility.

· Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

· Willingness and desire to achieve all the preferred qualifications below and continue your own professional development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Demonstrated, working technical knowledge, and understanding of critical data center systems, including HVAC, standby emergency power, uninterruptible power supplies, and associated infrastructure.

· Demonstrated knowledge of building automation & management systems (BAS / BMS).

· Experience in data center operations and management, with a focus on training and development.

· Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs for data center staff, covering areas such as security, maintenance, troubleshooting, change control, and safety.

· Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team of data center professionals, as well as effectively communicate with management.

· Clear and concise communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical staff.

· Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements for data center operations, such as ISO 27001 or Uptime Institute's Tier Standards.

· Skills in project management to coordinate training initiatives efficiently within the context of broader data center operations.

· Ability to collaborate with IT teams, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and effective training programs.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be willing to submit to a full criminal background check, the results of which may or may not bar employment, following applicable state and federal laws.

· Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, with which results will be interpreted and applied to an employment eligibility determination following applicable state and federal laws.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
  • Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly
  • Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
  • Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses
  • Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
  • Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
  • Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure

The base salary range for this role is $120,000-$160,000per year. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
