High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.



Responsibilities for this Position

Overview:

A Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in a facility, including tasks such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing restrooms, and restocking supplies. They ensure a safe and hygienic environment by following standard cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as break rooms, kitchens, lobbies, and outdoor areas, including walkways and entrances.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.

• Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins.

• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report when reordering is needed.

• Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues.

• Report any damages or repairs needed to the maintenance team.

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly and in accordance with safety protocols.

• Lifting about 25 lbs. required

• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning tasks as assigned.

• Respond to emergency cleaning requests promptly.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

• Understanding of cleaning techniques and procedures.

• General knowledge of safe handling and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Awareness of standard safety practices and procedures.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning.

• Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.

• General mechanical skills for minor repairs and equipment maintenance.

• Good communication skills to interact with colleagues and report issues.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Physical stamina and strength to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects (e.g., trash bags, cleaning equipment).

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Ability to identify and address cleaning and maintenance needs proactively.

• Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.

• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and buffers.



Salary Note

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
