In this role, you will oversee the successful execution and growth of strategic healthcare and pharmaceutical programs while ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
- Lead strategic and operational planning for specialized healthcare and patient support programs.
- Manage and mentor Program Managers and team members to ensure performance objectives are achieved.
- Oversee program operations including budgeting, staffing, utilization, profitability, and performance tracking.
- Support financial activities such as invoicing, expense management, contracting, purchasing, and vendor oversight.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting account management initiatives.
- Present operational updates, program performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, quality improvement, and enhanced service delivery.
- Support forecasting, staffing plans, business development initiatives, and proposal development activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful program execution and continuous improvement.
- Monitor risks, ensure compliance with quality standards, and support proactive mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely reporting and escalation of adverse events and other compliance-related activities.
- Drive team development through coaching, performance management, objective setting, and professional growth planning.
This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a solid understanding of pharmaceutical services and patient support environments.
- University degree in science, healthcare, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or specialty services industry.
- At least 2 years of people management experience leading operational or program teams.
- Experience managing client relationships and supporting strategic account initiatives.
- Strong understanding of patient support programs, specialty pharmaceutical services, or rare disease programs.
- Excellent business acumen with experience in budgeting, profitability analysis, and operational management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with proposal writing, pricing, contracting, and client presentations is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of reimbursement programs, risk management, clinical research, or healthcare compliance is highly valued.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bilingual French and English communication skills are considered an asset.
- Competitive salary ranging approximately from $89,000 to $137,060 CAD based on experience and qualifications.
