This role is a strategic, high-impact talent acquisition position focused on identifying and hiring top engineering and technical talent across complex, mission-driven environmental and consulting domains. You will partner closely with engineering leaders and business stakeholders to shape hiring strategy, influence workforce planning, and deliver exceptional candidates in a competitive market. The environment is collaborative and fast-moving, requiring strong consultative recruiting skills and deep market awareness. You will play a key role in building scalable hiring processes, improving candidate experience, and ensuring equitable and compliant recruitment practices. This position also involves proactive sourcing of specialized technical talent and building long-term talent pipelines. - Lead full-cycle recruiting for senior engineering, environmental, and technical roles from intake through offer acceptance
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to define hiring needs, role requirements, and talent strategies
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract passive and hard-to-find technical candidates
- Provide market insights, labor analysis, and data-driven recommendations to improve hiring decisions
- Manage multiple concurrent requisitions while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders
- Conduct structured interviews to assess technical skills, experience, and cultural fit
- Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines and specialized candidate communities
- Drive offer negotiations in collaboration with HR and hiring leaders
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and candidate experience
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, equitable hiring practices, and documentation standards
- Track recruiting metrics and maintain accurate ATS data to support reporting and decision-making
- Mentor or guide junior recruiters and contribute to broader talent acquisition initiatives
- 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with strong focus on engineering or environmental consulting roles
- Proven success recruiting highly specialized technical and professional talent in competitive markets
- Strong consultative approach with experience partnering directly with business and engineering leaders
- Deep sourcing expertise using research, networking, referrals, and direct outreach strategies
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting technologies
- Strong understanding of employment law, compliance requirements, and equitable hiring practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and professional platforms such as LinkedIn
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to use data to influence hiring decisions
