Responsibilities
- Deeply understand our customers, markets and competitors to produce valuable customer insight that can be turned into profitable features, products and services that our customers love
- Build strategy that is robust, progressive, forward-thinking and drives accelerated business performance with sustainable competitive advantage, time-to-market and development efficiency
- Work collaboratively with product teams to build software-intensive, tech-driven products on scalable architecture that keeps pace with rapidly accelerating market needs & adoption while delivering a best-in-class UI/UX experience
- Balance the needs of diverse customers, internal teams and organizational pressures with the long-term need for platform scalability, reliability and extensibility
- Work cross-functionally across the business - engineering, design, operations, sales, marketing - to drive tangible business value and results and progressive approaches in a period of accelerated transformation
- Provide leadership to your Product Team and clearly communicate focus. Leverage tools like the OKR process to create visibility, alignment, and clarity of scope with an emphasis on customer outcomes over team output
- Get things done – set ambitious goals and be a leader in transforming how development teams think and work. Break down barriers and question the status-quo, always armed with a clear why and lead by example.
Qualifications
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related discipline
This position is available at multiple levels depending on experience:
- Marketing Specialist I: No experience necessary
- Marketing Specialist II: 2 years of experience
Assistant Product Line Manager: 4 years of experience in marketing, sales, or engineering of technical products. - Product Line Manager I: 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, or engineering of technical products.
- Product Line Manager II: 7 years of experience in marketing, sales, or engineering of technical products.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- A tremendous passion for changing the face of worker and worksite safety in a technology-powered world
- Experience working collaboratively and successfully with software development or as a software developer
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and execute many tasks in parallel with minimal resources
- Outstanding organization, communication, presentation and leadership through influence skills
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a demonstrated data-driven mindset
- Highly adaptive to frequent change - you don't just accept it, it's when you do your best work.
- An uncanny ability to flatten your tech learning curve - no matter tech it is
- A love & knack for seeing, understanding and implementing outstanding design - from intuitive user interfaces to frictionless user experiences - with evidence to back it up
- Proven history of developing customer experiences with clear outcomes for the customer and the business
- Working understanding of Marty Cagan’s Product Model, experience with Customer Discovery, and familiarity with a variety of approaches to test assumptions and make informed product decisions that balance the four risks (value, viability, usability, feasibility)
- Experience with AI tools to accelerate the pace of product development, especially when it comes to testing ideas and informing prioritization
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in IoT or IIoT start-ups or at major tech companies
- Experience working in a SaaS business
Education Preferred:
- MBA
