SUMMARY OF POSITION
Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.
Do assigned Food prep when needed
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Load, run, and unload the dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature and check sanitizer levels to ensure a sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
• Keep the dish room clean and organized.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for the dining room and kitchen.
• Bag and haul trash to the dumpster.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
• Clean food preparation, production areas, and dish room as required.
• Clean walls, floors, sinks, mops, and cooler floor daily.
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
• No previous restaurant experience required.
• Ability to lift, reach, bend, and stoop.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds, up to 30 times per shift.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must be available 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM every day, including weekends and holidays. We are closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Full-time applicants must consider Keke's their primary place of employment.
• All employees must wear black chef pants or dark blue or black jeans, a black belt, black non-slip shoes, and a black Keke's hat or approved head covering on the first day of work.
• Must be in the approved Keke's uniform at all times when entering the café for work.
• Must pass a test before advancing to the next training position.
