Direct Supervisor: Regional Manager and / or Principal

Professional Credentials
1 to 15 years of experience in the design, operation, and/or commissioning of complex mechanical equipment and systems.
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited academic program in engineering or the sciences. In lieu of a degree, attain formal technical training in mechanical systems design, operation, and/or commissioning of mechanical equipment and systems.
Professional accreditation in an industry recognized organization such as BCxP, CxA, CBCP, CEM, LEED AP
Annually attend one or more industry-related industry seminars / training sessions as agreed upon by your direct supervisor. Provide a synopsis to your peers.
Participate in industry-related development programs as identified in the annual personnel reviews by your supervisor.
Responsibilities
Define commissioning scope of work and develop associated fee estimates in response to large sized project RFPs
Develop and prepare the project preliminary Commissioning Plan, including Pre-Functional Checklists for use the project team.
Create equipment and systems Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) for submission to the project team with assistance from direct supervisor.
Regularly meet and correspond with the project team members and support their participation through scheduling of commissioning events.
Witness the project team’s implementation of the project’s FTPs. Develop a project focused punchlist in response to the FTP results with assistance from direct supervisor.
Assist the project team in closing out punchlist items and manage the resolution of outstanding issues with the client with assistance from direct supervisor.
Monitor the project budget for conformance with project scope and project contract values.
Advise management in a timely fashion when changes in the scope warrant additional funding.
Compile and issue the project’s Final Commissioning Plan report with assistance from direct supervisor.
Assist in developing test and commissioning department standards.
Participate in activities related to maintaining client relations.
Participate in activities related to business development initiatives.
Other duties as assigned such as special projects.
Competencies
Sound understanding of most facility mechanical and/or electrical systems.
Ability to act independently on most technical matters related to testing and commissioning.
Ability to act, on larger projects, as a key team member on projects requiring multiple CCLLC participants.
Proficient in utilizing the project commissioning documents through Facility Grid.
Working understanding of the LEED accreditation process and capability to attain the projects’s LEED goals if applicable.
Advanced knowledge of industry standards, codes, and current industry practices.
Good written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership skills, superior analytical skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with the use of testing equipment and tools.
