Job Summary: The Production Control Clerk supports the flow of work from drafting to the fabrication shop by ensuring production receives accurate and timely documentation. This role is responsible for data entry, cut list support, DXF editing, CAD drawing assistance, nesting, batching, and sorting shop drawings and shippers by department to maintain efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process work from rafting to fabrication quickly and accurately.
  • Enter production data and assist with cut list generation.
  • Review weekly schedules and verify all required shop documents are available.
  • Edit DXF files and assist with CAD drawing updates.
  • Use AutoCAD and ProNest for nesting, drawing review, and quality checks.
  • Schedule jobs in PDS.
  • Sort Oracle lines, shop drawings, and shippers by department.
  • Communicate shop detail questions to drafting and return responses to production.
  • Process revisions and updates to help avoid production delays.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience in production control, manufacturing support, CAD, or data entry preferred.
  • Metal building manufacturing or steel fabrication experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and ProNest preferred.
  • Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
