Job Description

Clinical Quality Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Quality Lead based in the United States.

This is a fully remote clinical leadership opportunity focused on building a scalable quality system for home-based specialty pharmacy and infusion care.
You will define clinical standards, quality indicators, investigation frameworks, and escalation pathways that support safe independent nursing practice.
The role combines clinical judgment, patient safety, incident management, education, and continuous improvement.
You will investigate adverse events and near misses, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical corrective actions.
Working cross-functionally, you will influence clinical education, product development, analytics, compliance, and pharmacy partner relationships.
This is an opportunity to shape quality practices across a rapidly scaling, multi-state healthcare environment.
The role is ideal for an experienced nurse who thrives on autonomy, precision, systems thinking, and meaningful clinical impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and maintain clinical standards for home visits, including medication administration, infusion practices, patient assessment, monitoring, escalation, and documentation.
  • Develop clinical review criteria, decision frameworks, quality indicators, and escalation pathways that support independent nurses operating across multiple markets and care programs.
  • Own the investigation and resolution of medication errors, adverse events, near misses, and other clinical quality incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and CAPA processes using a fair, clinically sound, and systems-oriented approach, distinguishing individual performance issues from workflow, education, product, or partner-related factors.
  • Determine appropriate corrective actions, including nurse education, competency reassessment, marketplace restrictions, or leadership escalation.
  • Produce clear, accurate, balanced, and defensible investigation findings for nurses, pharmacy partners, and internal leadership.
  • Translate quality findings into clinical education priorities, competency expectations, job aids, communications, policies, and SOPs.
  • Develop and maintain clinical policies, documentation standards, and investigation procedures while measuring whether interventions improve nursing practice.
  • Serve as the clinical quality subject matter expert during pharmacy partner quality reviews, investigations, and performance discussions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Compliance, and operational teams to incorporate clinical requirements, risk considerations, and quality insights into broader initiatives.
  • Build repeatable quality playbooks that can support expansion into new states, partnerships, therapies, and clinical programs.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve patient safety, nursing performance, operational consistency, and the overall quality framework.
Requirements:
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 3+ years in clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, clinical education, documentation review, or a closely related area.
  • Direct experience conducting clinical incident investigations using root cause analysis and CAPA methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards of practice, medication administration safety, clinical documentation, and appropriate clinical escalation.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce precise, balanced, and defensible findings, standards, and clinical guidance.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to determine when an issue requires education, system redesign, escalation, or restriction from clinical activity.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in a remote, fast-paced, and evolving environment.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clinical, operational, technical, compliance, and external partner teams.
  • Preferred experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, biologics, or immunoglobulin administration.
  • Experience supporting a 1099 contractor network, healthcare marketplace, distributed clinician population, or multi-state clinical operation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with accreditation frameworks such as ACHC, URAC, or The Joint Commission is preferred.
  • Knowledge or training in just culture, human factors, Lean, or high-reliability principles is a plus.
  • MSN, MHA, MPH, or another relevant graduate degree is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Base salary of $102,000–$112,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
  • Options grant as part of the overall compensation package.
  • Fully remote position available to candidates across the United States.
  • Flexible work environment with primarily Pacific Time-aligned workflows and accommodation for other U.S. time zones where possible.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Unlimited PTO with minimum time-off expectations.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • HSA and FSA options.
  • Monthly phone and internet stipend.
  • Annual learning and professional development stipend.
  • Voluntary life, accident, hospital, and critical illness insurance.
  • No commute, with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a rapidly scaling healthcare technology environment and help shape clinical quality practices across multiple markets.
