Summer Preschool and Toddler Teacher
Seasonal, June through August 31, 2026
Full Time or Part Time
Dedham, MA
Starting at $23-$27 per hour based on certification, education, and experience

The DCH Preschool is seeking seasonal teachers to support both our toddler and preschool classrooms from June through August 31, 2026.
At the DCH Preschool, children learn through creativity, movement, exploration, and meaningful relationships. Located on the beautiful campus of the Dedham Community House, our preschool offers a unique environment unlike traditional childcare centers.
Our campus features expansive outdoor learning spaces, playgrounds, gardens, creative play areas, and nearly 2,200 square feet of indoor gym space for movement and active play throughout the year.
For more than 50 years, families throughout Dedham and the surrounding communities have trusted DCH Preschool to provide nurturing, play-based early childhood experiences rooted in curiosity, connection, and community.
This position is ideal for educators, college students studying education, graduate students, or individuals exploring careers in early childhood education who are seeking meaningful summer work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Strong summer team members may also have the opportunity to continue with DCH Preschool beyond the summer in part-time afternoon positions during the school year.
- Support toddler and preschool classroom activities and routines
- Create a safe, warm, and engaging environment for children
- Foster creativity, exploration, and social-emotional development
- Supervise indoor and outdoor play experiences
- Assist with classroom organization, transitions, meals, and cleanup
- Collaborate closely with teachers and leadership
- Maintain classroom safety and follow all EEC regulations and DCH policies
- EEC certification preferred
- Experience working with toddlers and/or preschool-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, dependable, and collaborative attitude
