Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Summary:
An Electrical Engineer I (EE I) is an integral part of project teams, gaining foundational experience in electrical engineering aspects of midstream/facilities oil & gas infrastructure. This role assists in the design, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems, working under the guidance of more experienced engineers. An excellent entry-level opportunity for a passionate electrical engineer eager to learn and contribute to significant projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assistance in the preparation of basic electrical calculations (e.g., load lists, conduit fill).
- Support for the review of vendor drawings and technical submittals for compliance with project requirements.
- Aid in the development of single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Participation in technical discussions and basic design reviews.
- Preparation and organization of project documentation, including reports and technical memos.
- Learning and application of relevant industry codes, standards, and company procedures (e.g., NEC, API, IEEE).
- Collaboration with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, process, civil) to ensure design integration.
- Participation in technical discussions and basic design reviews.
- Some travel may be required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Basic understanding of electrical fundamentals (e.g., power distribution, motor control, lighting).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player – able to communicate and relate well with others.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings, and job site visits, when required.
