Location: Onsite in Fort Wayne, Indiana

POSITION SUMMARY

The Plant Manager provides leadership and accountability for execution of the operational plan at the site through building effective teams and a high-engagement, employee ownership culture. This includes managing all operational functions and processes with a focus on achieving operational excellence.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Lead in a way to create and sustain company culture that models Web Industries’ principles and values.

Communicate, coach, mentor, and motivate site team around vision, values, safety, and strategy. This includes supervising several direct reports (managers, VSL, planners, trainers etc.).

Utilizing a site leadership team structure, lead site plan execution by effectively managing:

• Safety and Environment

• Supporting sales and customer service in ensuring excellent customer experiences

• People Leadership/Organization health

• Leading functional groups to meet strategic and financial goals

• Effective on-boarding / new product introductions (NPI)

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives.

• Sustain an operational culture based around Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC)

• Building smart and healthy organizations

• Fostering Web’s values and culture through effective leadership actions

• Providing HR direction and support in dealing with employee related issues, policy clarification, skills development, and employee recognition events

Assist in the development of strategy to:

• Identify business needs and tailor solutions and strategy to build value proposition and market leadership position

• Identify, coordinate, justify, and optimize capital Investment needed for the efficient and effective operation and growth

• Establish performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies for performance

Maintain accountability for critical metrics:

Business and Operational Plan Execution Execute business plan specific to site (ramp up of new programs, delivery, staffing targets, profit etc.) that have been designed for creating long term business health and sustainability

Operational Performance Metrics Safety, VA/Labor $, VA/HR, Turnover, OTD, COPQ, Productivity, Efficiency, and Utilization.

Customer Satisfaction Strategic Account Supplier Scorecards and Surveys

Employee Satisfaction NCEO Survey

Build healthy, constructive relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Performs any other function or responsibility as assigned

Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills:

>10 years of experience in manufacturing operations including:

• 5+ years leading teams and effective change

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets

• Working knowledge of ISO9001 standards and manufacturing practices

• Knowledge of applicable manufacturing processes at the site or similar

Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Must be able to work on government contracts.

Bachelor’s Degree in related or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Additional PREFERRED Qualifications/Skills:

Excellent customer relationship skills.

Proficiency in handling multiple concurrent deliverables and projects.
