oversee accurate and timely filing of all property-level tax returns.Maintain current knowledge of changes in accounting standards, USALI updates, brand standards, and regulatory requirements, communicating implications to Regional Controllers and property teams.Budgeting, Forecasting, & Financial Performance OversightPartner with Operations leadership during the annual budget cycle to provide accounting support, ensuring property budgets are accurately loaded into financial systems, properly mapped to the chart of accounts, and formatted in accordance with company and USALI standards.Prepare and monitor all below the line budgeting items prepared and entered by Regionals and their teamsReview budgets loaded by the regional team for accuracy, completeness, and internal consistency, flagging material errors, omissions, or misclassificationsHelp Regionals monitor actual financial performance against approved budgets across all properties and regions on a monthly basis.Partner with the Operations team to progressively expand the accounting teams role in the budget and forecasting process, building toward a model where accounting provides a stronger analytical oversight function.Ownership Relations & Operations PartnershipServe as a senior accounting point of contact for ownership groups, asset managers, and General Managers, responding to financial inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and timely follow-through.Partner with operations leadership to provide financial analysis, expense control guidance, and performance commentary that supports sound operational decision-making.Ensure all management agreement and franchise agreement financial reporting obligations are met at both the property and portfolio level.Communicate accounting policy changes, new compliance requirements, and reporting updates to Regional Controllers and property teams clearly and proactively.Accounting Systems, Technology & SOPsServe as a senior subject matter expert for all corporate accounting platforms, including M3, ProfitSword, NetSuite, Birchstreet, and Adra.Own and maintain Hotel Equities’ Accounting SOP manual and delegation of authority policy, ensuring documentation is current, complete, and consistently applied across all regions.Assist with the evaluation and implementation of process improvement and automation initiatives to reduce close cycle time, improve data quality, and increase team efficiency.Ensure all GL configurations, system mappings, financial statement templates, and reporting outputs meet corporate and USALI standards across all platforms.Develop and maintain training materials for accounting systems and processes;
