POSITION SUMMARY

The Front of House Support (Busser) plays a vital role in creating a seamless guest experience by keeping the dining room running smoothly behind the scenes of service. This role exists to ensure every table is set with precision, every course flows without delay, and every guest feels the quiet, unwavering care of a team working in perfect rhythm.

Bussers support Servers and management by maintaining table cleanliness, resetting dining areas quickly and correctly, and assisting with food and beverage delivery. Through speed, attentiveness, and genuine teamwork, Bussers help transform a meal into a memorable experience.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIESService Execution & Operations
  • Execute Destination Hospitality's steps of service with consistency, attention to detail, and genuine warmth.
  • Be punctual, prepared, and in proper uniform for every shift.
  • Clear plates, glassware, and service items promptly and quietly throughout the meal.
  • Reset tables quickly and correctly with proper linens, place settings, and tableware between guests.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and correctly using proper table and seat numbers.
  • Complete all assigned opening, running, and closing side work thoroughly and correctly.
  • Assist Servers and teammates with maintaining smooth, uninterrupted service flow.
  • Refill water and bread as needed and proactively support table maintenance throughout service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations, dining areas, and guest-facing spaces.
JOB-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSGUEST EXPERIENCE & HOSPITALITY
  • Provide genuine hospitality with heart and style in every guest interaction.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests warmly, even in passing, and use guest names whenever possible.
  • Make guests feel comfortable, valued, and personally cared for throughout their visit.
  • Anticipate guest needs by monitoring tables attentively and responding promptly to cues.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, even outside assigned tables.
  • Address issues with empathy and professionalism and escalate to management when appropriate.
  • Share guest feedback, preferences, and special occasions with management to enhance future visits.
KNOWLEDGE & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the dining room layout, table numbers, and seating configurations.
  • Know and understand proper table-setting and clearing standards for all meal periods.
  • Maintain awareness of allergens and dietary restrictions; communicate clearly with Servers and management.
  • Commit to the ambitious pursuit of knowledge, continuously developing service skills to enhance the guest experience.
  • Stay curious, engaged, and open to learning about hospitality, service techniques, and Destination Hospitality standards.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation: Tipped Minimum Wage plus gratuities

Employee Benefits Package for Full Time Team Members:

  • Health insurance eligibility:
    • Pre-tax health insurance benefit contribution of up to $125 per pay period (up to $3,250 annually)
