This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AVP, Employee Experience based in the United States.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced HR professional to shape employee experience initiatives through compliance, employee relations, HR technology, and total rewards management. The role combines operational expertise with forward-thinking people strategies to build efficient, data-driven HR practices. You will partner with leaders across the organization, guide managers through complex employee matters, and oversee critical HR systems and processes. With a strong focus on compliance, analytics, and innovation, this position offers the opportunity to improve workplace experiences while driving organizational effectiveness. - Lead HR compliance and governance initiatives, ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations including EEO, FCRA, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, and other applicable requirements.
- Maintain and enhance HR policies, procedures, and documentation while supporting audit preparation, regulatory reviews, and compliance reporting.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters, performance management processes, policy interpretation, and corrective action procedures.
- Identify employee relations trends and collaborate with organizational development teams to develop proactive solutions and improve workplace effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Total Rewards function, including compensation, benefits, recognition programs, HR data, and HR systems strategy.
- Partner on compensation and benefits planning cycles, vendor management, and initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and retention.
- Oversee benefits administration governance, including enrollment processes, system controls, payroll reconciliation, vendor file monitoring, and data accuracy management.
- Develop and maintain HRIS controls, reporting processes, dashboards, and operational insights to support informed decision-making.
- Leverage AI tools, automation, and advanced analytics to improve HR workflows, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
- Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to resolve system, vendor, and process challenges.
- Manage and influence the Total Rewards team through effective leadership, coaching, and strategic prioritization.
- 5+ years of professional Human Resources experience, including experience in HR compliance, employee relations, HRIS administration, or related areas.
- Previous leadership or management experience within an HR function is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; PHR/SPHR certification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance requirements, including EEO, FCRA, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA, and related employment regulations.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as UKG or similar systems.
- Experience managing benefits administration platforms, open enrollment processes, vendor relationships, and EDI/carrier file integrations.
- Understanding of benefits governance controls, payroll reconciliation, SOX/ERISA-related documentation, and HR data management practices.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience creating data models, dashboards, reports, and analytical tools.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve HR reporting, data analysis, and operational processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential employee information professionally.
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly, manage change, prioritize effectively, and collaborate with employees at all organizational levels.
- Competitive salary range based on location and qualifications:
- Zone 1: $111,240 – $152,955
- Zone 2: $101,228.40 – $139,189.05
- Zone 3: $93,441.60 – $128,482.20
- Zone 4: $88,992 – $122,364
- Eligibility for a Corporate Incentive Plan with annual incentive opportunities ranging from 0–8% of eligible earnings.
