Job Description

Sr. Contracts Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Contracts Manager based in United States.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on managing complex healthcare technology contracts across a highly regulated enterprise. You will lead agreements from drafting and negotiation through execution, renewal, and ongoing governance. The role combines sophisticated contract expertise with commercial judgment, risk management, and business enablement. You will partner with legal, security, product, engineering, finance, sales, operations, and risk teams to support strategic business objectives. A key focus will be modernizing contract operations through standardized templates, CLM workflows, automation, reporting, and responsible use of AI-enabled tools. This is an opportunity to improve contract governance, accelerate deal velocity, and provide practical guidance to senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities
  • Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle management for complex healthcare technology, SaaS, vendor, partner, and customer agreements, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, execution, renewals, and post-execution management.
  • Evaluate contractual terms and provide substantive guidance on legal, commercial, operational, security, regulatory, and business considerations.
  • Advise senior leaders on contractual risk, business impact, negotiation strategy, and recommended positions to enable timely and informed decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Enterprise Risk Management, Audit, Security, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Account Executives, and Vendor Management teams.
  • Ensure agreements appropriately address healthcare regulations, data privacy, security, service levels, implementation requirements, audit readiness, and other applicable compliance obligations.
  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, playbooks, governance standards, and negotiation approaches to improve consistency, quality, and turnaround times.
  • Optimize contract lifecycle management systems, workflows, dashboards, reporting, and automation to improve contract visibility, governance, and operational efficiency.
  • Responsibly leverage AI-enabled contract review and automation tools in accordance with applicable organizational policies and legal guidance.
  • Track and report contract performance metrics, including contract volume, cycle time, non-standard provisions, risk escalations, renewal activity, and stakeholder service levels.
  • Drive continuous improvements across contract intake, review, approval, renewal, and post-execution processes.
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on contract management best practices and support enterprise-wide improvements in contract governance.
  • Help improve deal velocity while maintaining appropriate contractual risk controls and supporting broader business objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive contracts management experience, including substantial experience with complex technology, SaaS, vendor, partner, and customer agreements.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial contract structures involving data privacy, security, service levels, implementation services, SaaS models, renewals, and related business terms.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance considerations.
  • Advanced contract drafting, negotiation, issue-resolution, and risk-assessment skills, with the ability to independently manage complex agreements.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to balance business enablement against legal, regulatory, and operational risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise senior executives, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and communicate complex contractual issues in clear, practical language.
  • Experience developing, updating, and managing contract templates, playbooks, governance standards, and contracting processes.
  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management systems, workflow automation, dashboards, reporting, and contract performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume, high-complexity contract portfolio.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, autonomy, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with healthcare technology contracting is preferred, including business associate agreements, data use agreements, and SaaS subscription terms.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled contract review, contract analytics, clause extraction, obligation tracking, or workflow automation tools is a plus.
  • Experience with CLM, CRM, e-signature, and document management platforms such as DocuSign, HubSpot, Gatekeeper, SharePoint, or comparable systems is preferred.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, product-led operating models, or modernization of contract operations is advantageous.
  • A Master’s degree in business or Juris Doctor is preferred.
  • Professional contract management certifications such as CPCM or CCCM are preferred.
  • Strong ability to work independently from a remote home office and remain productive while using workstation equipment for extended periods.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work from a home office, supporting work-life balance and reducing commuting costs and time.
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield medical, dental, and vision plan options.
  • Telehealth services for medical and behavioral health visits.
  • Generous paid time off with buy/sell options.
  • Nine company holidays, plus a floating day and a paid volunteer day.
  • Employee Assistance Program.
  • Wellness program with opportunities to earn insurance discounts or credits toward health-related expenses.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Company-funded spending and reimbursement accounts for eligible medical expenses.
  • Bonus and employee recognition programs.
  • Tuition assistance.
  • Access to financial planning consultations.
  • Basic Life and AD&D insurance.
  • Short- and long-term disability insurance.
  • Supplemental term life insurance options.
  • Group discounts on mobile, technology, and other services.
  • Comprehensive on-demand e-learning and performance support resources at no additional cost.
  • Opportunity to modernize contract operations and influence enterprise-wide governance in a complex healthcare technology environment.
