About the Position
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Hotel Reservation Agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting guests with room reservations, providing information about the hotel and its services, and ensuring each guest receives a positive experience from the first point of contact.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming reservation inquiries by phone, email, and other booking channels.
- Create, modify, and cancel guest reservations accurately.
- Provide guests with information regarding room types, rates, packages, amenities, policies, and hotel services.
- Assist guests in selecting accommodations that best meet their needs.
- Confirm reservation details and ensure all guest information is entered accurately into the hotel reservation system.
- Respond to guest questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote hotel services, upgrades, packages, and other opportunities when appropriate.
- Coordinate with the Front Desk and other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Maintain accurate reservation records and follow hotel procedures.
- Handle special requests and communicate them to the appropriate departments.
- Assist with group bookings and small group inquiries as required.
- Process payments, deposits, and other reservation-related transactions when applicable.
- Maintain a professional and welcoming attitude at all times.
- Follow hotel standards for customer service, privacy, and confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous hotel, reservations, customer service, or hospitality experience is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional telephone and email etiquette.
- Comfortable working with computers and hotel reservation systems.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Bilingualism or additional languages are considered an asset.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
