Job Description
TBC Hotels is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our corporate team. This full-time, on-site role supports the day-to-day HR needs of our hotels across payroll, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee records, compliance, employee engagement, and other People & Culture priorities.
In HR, many responsibilities come with important deadlines and directly affect our associates. We need someone who can manage competing priorities, adjust when needs change, and keep the work moving forward without losing sight of the details.
The right person takes ownership, follows through, asks thoughtful questions, and looks beyond the immediate task to understand the bigger picture. They should be comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and knowing when to ask for support.
Requirements:What You’ll Do
Payroll and HR Administration
- Coordinate and process payroll accurately and on schedule for employees across our hotel portfolio.
- Review timecards, hours, pay rates, earnings, deductions, paid time off, tips, bonuses, and other payroll information for accuracy.
- Work closely with General Managers to resolve missed punches, timekeeping errors, overtime questions, department coding, and other payroll discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate employee and payroll information, including new hires, transfers, compensation changes, status changes, and terminations.
- Respond to payroll questions from employees and managers in a timely and professional manner.
- Help General Managers review labor costs on their property profit and loss statements and identify possible trends, variances, or coding issues.
- Protect confidential payroll and employee information while following internal controls and applicable wage and hour requirements.
People and Culture Support
- Serve as a responsive HR resource for hotel leaders and employees across the TBC Hotels portfolio.
- Support recruiting efforts, including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and communicating with applicants.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding to ensure background checks, required documents, system entries, and communications are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized, complete, and confidential employee records.
- Complete employment and income verifications.
- Coordinate unemployment claims, collect supporting documentation, and track response deadlines.
- Assist with benefits administration, employee enrollment questions, qualifying life events, open enrollment, vendor communication, and benefits billing.
- Support HR audits, reporting, file reviews, compliance initiatives, internal communications, training, employee recognition, and company events.
- Assist the Director of People & Culture with employee relations documentation, investigations, and special projects.
- Help keep the corporate office organized, stocked, and ready to support our team.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning HR, payroll, and reporting systems.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and genuine interest in learning and growing within Human Resources.
Education and Experience
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- 1-2 years of experience in payroll, Human Resources, benefits administration, accounting support, or a related administrative role is preferred. Relevant internship experience is welcome.
- Experience with Paylocity or another HR and payroll system is helpful.
- Experience supporting payroll for multiple locations or within the hospitality industry is a plus..
- Ability to travel between hotel locations as needed.
- Flexibility to occasionally assist with evening or weekend events.
