Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AI Deployment Manager based in Canada.
This is a senior individual contributor opportunity focused on turning ambitious AI concepts into reliable, production-ready solutions for complex customer environments.
You will lead strategic AI deployments from discovery and solution design through configuration, launch, optimization, and stable production.
The role combines consulting, technical problem-solving, product thinking, and hands-on delivery ownership.
You will work directly with senior client stakeholders while partnering with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and other specialists.
Success requires the ability to create structure in ambiguous situations, make sound technical decisions, and keep complex initiatives moving forward.
You will also help transform deployment learnings into repeatable processes, playbooks, and product improvements that strengthen future implementations.
This remote Canada-based role offers meaningful autonomy and includes approximately 25–35% travel to client sites.
As an AI Deployment Manager, you will own the successful delivery of complex voice and agentic AI deployments while ensuring solutions meet customer objectives and achieve measurable results. You will remain accountable for delivery outcomes across multiple teams, balancing technical execution, stakeholder alignment, scope, timelines, and change management.
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex AI deployments, from discovery and scoping through configuration, launch, optimization, and stable production.
- Lead structured discovery through stakeholder interviews, workflow mapping, agent shadowing, transcript analysis, and data reviews.
- Translate customer operational challenges and desired outcomes into practical AI solution requirements.
- Facilitate solution design sessions and align stakeholders on agent scope, behaviour, requirements, trade-offs, and delivery approaches.
- Partner with customer stakeholders and Customer Success to define measurable success criteria before configuration begins.
- Work hands-on with AI platforms through configuration, prompt and intent iteration, testing, and standard integrations.
- Lead user acceptance testing and solution validation, identifying and resolving issues before production.
- Build and manage deployment plans covering milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, decisions, iteration cycles, and go-live readiness.
- Own stakeholder communication, scope discipline, change management, and difficult conversations around trade-offs, re-scoping, and timeline risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and specialized technical resources while maintaining accountability for overall deployment outcomes.
- Monitor post-launch performance and adoption, using data and customer feedback to identify optimization opportunities.
- Establish credible proof of value and communicate deployment performance and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Convert deployment insights into reusable patterns, playbooks, processes, and product recommendations that improve future delivery.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines strong consulting or delivery leadership with technical fluency and a practical understanding of AI systems. You should be comfortable working directly with senior customers, navigating ambiguity, solving technical problems, and translating complex requirements into actionable solutions.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in product management, technology consulting, engagement management, technical solutions, enterprise implementation, software engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience owning complex delivery outcomes involving senior client stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong executive presence and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build credibility, influence decisions, and navigate difficult conversations.
- Strong technical fluency, including the ability to read API documentation, test endpoints, troubleshoot integrations, and work confidently with technical tools.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, including agent behaviour, prompt iteration, evaluation, and understanding of system constraints.
- Ability to move comfortably between technical problem-solving, solution design, operational planning, and customer change management.
- Strong judgment and a bias for action, with the ability to create structure and make decisions in ambiguous environments without relying on a predefined playbook.
- Demonstrated ability to turn delivery experience and lessons learned into scalable processes, assets, or playbooks.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple dependencies, priorities, risks, and stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–35% to client sites.
- Experience with contact centres, CCaaS, IVR, conversational AI, scripting, or technical prototyping is an asset.
- Customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on measurable outcomes and successful adoption.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across product, engineering, customer success, and technical teams.
Benefits:
- Fully remote position open to candidates residing anywhere in Canada.
- Flexible working environment designed to support different working styles and work-life balance.
- Opportunity to work directly with innovative AI and automation technologies.
- High-autonomy senior individual contributor role with significant ownership over complex customer deployments.
- Opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, creative, and passionate team.
- Exposure to enterprise AI implementations and strategic customer engagements.
- Opportunity to influence reusable delivery processes, product improvements, and AI deployment best practices.
- Travel opportunities to work directly with client teams and environments.
- Inclusive workplace committed to equal employment opportunity.
- Workplace accommodations available for candidates with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
