This senior communications role offers the opportunity to shape the narrative of a rapidly growing technology organization operating at the forefront of AI and go-to-market innovation.
You will help build and scale a modern communications function, driving strategic storytelling across media, analysts, customers, partners, investors, and employees.
The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, owning high-impact initiatives from product launches to executive thought leadership.
You will transform complex ideas, data insights, and business milestones into compelling narratives that strengthen market positioning.
Working closely with cross-functional leaders, you will establish communications standards, processes, and campaigns that influence how the organization is understood globally.

The Principal Communications Manager will serve as a key partner to communications leadership, owning strategic initiatives that enhance brand visibility, market influence, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires a balance of creativity, operational excellence, and strong judgment to deliver impactful communications programs.
- Develop and execute strategic communications initiatives, including corporate storytelling, thought leadership programs, media campaigns, and executive visibility efforts.
- Transform company narratives, research, milestones, and data insights into compelling content for external audiences, including contributed articles, reports, executive perspectives, and industry-focused materials.
- Lead product communications strategies by creating messaging frameworks, press materials, FAQs, briefing documents, and launch communications that highlight innovation and customer impact.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Legal, and executive teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and effective messaging across communication channels.
- Build and strengthen relationships with media outlets, analysts, industry influencers, and other external stakeholders to increase market visibility.
- Support analyst relations initiatives by managing engagements, preparing analyst briefings, developing presentation materials, and communicating market perspectives.
- Lead internal communications programs, including company-wide meetings, executive communications, organizational updates, and strategic announcements.
- Provide guidance on sensitive communications topics, including business changes, platform policies, data-related matters, and regulatory or reputational issues.
- Establish communication processes, operating rhythms, and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability across the function.
The ideal candidate is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in technology, SaaS, AI, or B2B environments. You bring exceptional storytelling abilities, strategic judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth organization.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or strategic communications, preferably within B2B technology, SaaS, AI, or go-to-market industries.
- Proven experience developing data-driven narratives, thought leadership campaigns, and communications strategies that generate media attention and business impact.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive messaging across short-form and long-form content.
- Strong experience leading product launches, product PR initiatives, and translating complex technical concepts into accessible stories.
- Background in media relations, analyst relations, crisis communications, executive communications, and technology communications.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience partnering with Product, Marketing, Sales, Legal, and executive teams.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives while maintaining attention to detail, quality, and strategic alignment.
- A builder mindset with the ability to create processes, improve workflows, and operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong understanding of AI tools and automation opportunities to improve communications effectiveness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, confidence working with senior leaders, and the ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
- Competitive compensation package:
- Tier 1 locations (San Francisco, New York City, Seattle): $188,000 - $230,000 USD.
- Tier 2 locations (all other US locations): $163,000 - $200,000 USD.
