This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety, accuracy, and reliability of advanced medical software used in radiation oncology treatment planning. You will be responsible for validating and testing software that directly supports clinicians in delivering high-quality cancer care. Working in a highly collaborative, mission-driven and fully remote environment, you will partner closely with engineering, product, regulatory, and customer success teams. Your work will help ensure that every release meets strict quality and compliance standards required for medical devices. This position combines clinical expertise, technical validation, and software testing in a fast-evolving healthcare technology setting. You will also contribute to documentation and regulatory processes that support global product deployment. This is a high-impact role where precision, critical thinking, and patient-centered purpose are essential.

Accountabilities
  • Lead testing and validation of ClearCalc software releases to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
  • Perform verification and validation (V&V) testing activities using C# and Visual Studio to assess product performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, document, and resolve software issues prior to product release.
  • Work closely with customer success and support teams to assist with troubleshooting, clinical setup, and user-related issues.
  • Contribute to medical device documentation, including requirements definition, test case development, execution results, and risk mitigation.
  • Support regulatory compliance efforts in collaboration with regulatory affairs teams, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Provide structured feedback to product management and engineering to improve product quality and user experience.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate technical documentation for all testing and validation activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Clinical Medical Physicist in a radiation oncology environment.
  • Strong experience in validation and verification (V&V) processes for clinical or medical software systems.
  • Proficiency in C# programming and familiarity with Visual Studio or similar development environments.
  • Strong understanding of radiation therapy workflows, treatment planning systems, and QA principles.
  • Experience with AAPM Task Group reports and second-check systems in clinical practice.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for technical and regulatory documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience with medical device documentation and regulatory processes is highly valuable.
  • Customer support or clinical implementation experience is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with ClearCalc or similar radiation oncology QA tools is a plus.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $170,000 to $200,000 USD, plus bonus eligibility.
  • Fully remote work environment with global collaboration opportunities.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage (U.S. plans with strong employer contributions or locally compliant international coverage).
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance and supplementary life insurance (where applicable).
  • 401(k) with immediate employer match (U.S. employees) or locally compliant retirement benefits internationally.
  • Paid time off with self-managed flexibility plus paid holidays.
  • Monthly internet stipend and home office setup support.
  • Professional development budget, including conferences, training, and certifications.
  • Annual reimbursement for professional memberships and continuous learning opportunities.
  • Fully remote culture with virtual events and annual team retreats.
  • Inclusive global benefits structure supporting international employees through compliant EOR arrangements.
