Data Analyst III

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Analyst III based in United States.

The Data Analyst III will apply advanced analytics to healthcare and human services data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for meaningful improvement.
You will work with complex datasets to identify variances, outliers, and statistically significant groups that can inform quality initiatives and investigations.
The role combines statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, data preparation, and sophisticated visualization.
You will collaborate with analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights.
Your work will help evaluate interventions, measure outcomes, and support data-driven decisions across critical healthcare programs.
You will also contribute to stronger data governance, analytical processes, and emerging capabilities across the organization.
This is an opportunity for an experienced analyst to take ownership of complex projects while working with modern analytical tools and meaningful real-world data.

Accountabilities
  • Prepare, clean, validate, and transform data from multiple sources to support advanced analytical initiatives.
  • Conduct complex statistical analyses to identify meaningful trends, patterns, variances, outliers, and percentile-ranked groups.
  • Apply statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques to generate actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement predictive models to forecast trends and enable proactive planning.
  • Design and implement statistically sound sampling methodologies for analytical and investigative activities.
  • Develop code to join and manipulate multiple relational database tables required for complex analyses.
  • Create sophisticated charts, dashboards, and graphical presentations that communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive analytical reports that provide actionable recommendations for strategic and operational decisions.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, business teams, and other departments to understand requirements and align analytical work with organizational objectives.
  • Contribute to the design of re-measurement strategies that assess interventions and quantify their impact on healthcare quality and outcomes.
  • Ensure analytical activities follow data governance standards and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve analytical processes, methodologies, and workflows while evaluating emerging technologies and approaches.
  • Plan and organize assigned work independently while working with management to prioritize projects and deliverables.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required, with equivalent professional experience potentially considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 2–4 years of relevant professional experience required, with 5–7 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience performing advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, or related analytical work.
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis and programming tools such as SAS, SQL, Excel, R, Python, Tableau, or comparable technologies.
  • Experience preparing, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing complex datasets.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills, including the ability to join and manipulate data across multiple tables.
  • Experience developing predictive models and applying machine learning algorithms to real-world analytical problems.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methodologies, sampling techniques, and analytical best practices.
  • Ability to create clear and sophisticated data visualizations that make complex findings accessible to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying actionable insights rather than simply reporting data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams while independently managing priorities and analytical deliverables.
  • Strong attention to data accuracy, integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Base SAS certification is preferred.
