Job Description

Sales Manager, New Business Workleap

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sales Manager, New Business — Workleap based in Canada.

As Sales Manager, you will lead a high-performing new business team responsible for bringing an innovative B2B SaaS product to market.
Reporting to the VP of Revenue, you will own the strategy, coaching, execution, and systems that drive sustainable new business growth.
You will lead five Account Executives across English and French Canadian markets, spanning SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments.
This is a hands-on leadership role where coaching, pipeline discipline, forecasting, and commercial strategy are equally important.
You will help transform existing momentum into a repeatable and scalable sales engine while continuously improving conversion and deal velocity.
Close collaboration with Marketing, Product, and Revenue leadership will ensure market feedback directly informs go-to-market decisions.
The role is ideal for a sales leader who thrives in fast-moving environments, embraces AI, and wants meaningful ownership over growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Own quarterly new business ARR targets by creating the conditions for Account Executives to consistently perform at their best.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of five Account Executives across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments and English and French Canadian markets.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, call shadowing, performance discussions, and development conversations to strengthen individual and team capabilities.
  • Define, implement, and continuously refine the sales strategy to improve conversion rates, deal velocity, pipeline quality, and overall revenue performance.
  • Establish a high-performance sales culture with clear expectations, accountability, effective coaching, and strong execution standards.
  • Own sales forecasting and provide accurate, data-driven visibility to the VP of Revenue and senior leadership.
  • Identify and remove blockers affecting individual or team performance, taking a proactive approach to improving sales execution.
  • Build strong feedback loops between Sales, Marketing, and Product so customer and market insights influence messaging, positioning, and product evolution.
  • Integrate AI-powered tools into daily sales workflows, including call intelligence, sales preparation, coaching, enablement, and productivity.
  • Use CRM and performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead from the front by demonstrating strong sales judgment, commercial discipline, and effective client-facing practices.
  • Help build the systems, processes, and operating rhythm required to turn new business momentum into a scalable sales organization.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of sales leadership experience in a B2B SaaS environment; HR technology or an adjacent sector is a strong asset.
  • Proven track record as an Account Executive or business development professional with consistent quota achievement or overachievement.
  • Strong understanding of what excellent sales execution looks like, supported by hands-on experience carrying and exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales professionals, improving capabilities proactively rather than focusing only on performance management.
  • Strong pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline, with the ability to use data to guide decisions and priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to be clear, direct, and effective with both sales teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong commercial judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business objectives into practical sales execution.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change and decisions sometimes need to be made with incomplete information.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset and the ability to remove obstacles while maintaining momentum.
  • Daily fluency with AI and productivity tools such as Claude, Gong, HubSpot, and Microsoft 365, using them as practical accelerators for sales performance.
  • Ability to operate effectively across English and French Canadian markets.
Benefits:
  • Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP), providing an opportunity to participate in long-term company growth.
  • RRSP program.
  • Family health insurance.
  • Telemedicine services.
  • Annual wellness budget.
  • Flexible vacation policy.
  • Fully remote work, with access to an office in Montreal.
  • In-person team gatherings twice a year.
  • Access to Claude for all employees.
  • Opportunity to lead a team at a pivotal stage of product and go-to-market growth.
  • High level of ownership and direct influence over sales strategy, team development, and new business performance.
