  • Perform advanced dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Work directly with Engineering, Production, and Quality personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to Welder I and Welder II employees.
  • Support weld testing, procedure qualifications, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to inspection hold points, quality standards, and company welding procedures.
  • Assist supervisors in prioritizing workflow and coordinating production activities.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of welding and fabrication experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of welding processes, fabrication practices, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex fabrication and welding assignments independently.
  • Strong understanding of quality control requirements and inspection processes.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support junior welders.

Preferred:

  • Current AWS certifications.
  • Experience with pressure-retaining, structural, or critical-service weldments.
  • Advanced rigging and crane operation experience.
  • Experience supporting weld procedure qualification activities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Regular exposure to welding fumes, sparks, and hot materials.
  • Required to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Work is performed indoors in a shop environment; it may involve occasional outdoor tasks.
  • You must wear PPE including a welding helmet, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
