Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Enrichment Programs supports the Director in overseeing the daily operations of the Deer Park location. This role ensures compliance with DDID, SCL, and MPW Medicaid waiver regulations, promotes person-centered services, supervises staff, and facilitates meaningful community engagement for individuals served.
This position functions as a leader, compliance monitor, community connector, and direct service support when needed.
Key Responsibilities
*Model and uphold the mission, philosophy, vision, and core values of Dreams With Wings.
*Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct, and confidentiality in all interactions.
*Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and agency policies.
*Recognize, prevent, and immediately report suspected abuse or neglect.
*Promote a positive, collaborative team environment.
*Serve as a professional role model for staff and individuals served.
*Perform additional duties as assigned.
*Regulatory Compliance & Documentation Oversight
*Ensure compliance with DDID, SCL, MPW, and ADT regulations.
Review and monitor daily documentation to ensure it reflects goal progress and service delivery.
*Complete monthly summaries by the 15th of each month.
*Complete Medication Reports by the 5th of each month.
*Ensure medication administration documentation remains compliant and current.
*Complete and submit required fire, safety, and emergency drill documentation monthly.
*Assist with audit preparation and regulatory reviews.
*Maintain accurate records in accordance with agency and Medicaid standards.
Person Centered Planning & Program Implementation
*Participate in and attend all Plan of Care (POC) meetings.
*Assist in the development and implementation of individualized POC goals.
*Promote decreased dependency and increased independence.
*Ensure daily activities reflect individual choice, skill development, and community involvement.
*nsure ADT service definitions are followed according to Medicaid guidelines.
*Facilitate community participation, volunteer opportunities, and wellness initiatives.
Staff Supervision, Leadership & Development
*Assist with hiring, onboarding, evaluating, and developing Dream Builders staff. ? Conduct or assist with annual performance reviews.
*Oversee staff time management and minimize overtime.
*Ensure staff complete required DDID documentation accurately and timely. ? Ensure completion of required individualized trainings (Phase 1 & 2, behavior plans, etc.).
*Meet with the Behavior Team as needed.
*Promote accountability, teamwork, and professional growth among staff. Health, Safety & Medication Oversight
*Ensure the health and safety of individuals served at all times.
*Monitor compliance with medication administration protocols.
*Follow up with house staff and case managers regarding medication updates or concerns.
*Provide guidance on health, safety, and sound judgment practices.
*Ensure transportation safety and compliance with weekly van cleaning procedures.
*Complete required emergency drills.
*Provide physical assistance as required, including ambulation, hygiene, and feeding support.
Communication & Community Collaboration
*Communicate effectively with House Managers, Case Managers, families, and leadership.
*Attend and participate in required staff meetings and trainings.
*Coordinate with Team Leaders to ensure consistent daily programming.
*Encourage and support individual rights, dignity, and conflict resolution.
*Participate in agency-wide events and initiatives.
*Serve as a liaison between administration and day program staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
*High School Diploma or equivalent required.
*Must be at least 21 years of age.
*CPR/First Aid certification required.
*Valid driver’s license and maintained auto insurance required.
*Minimum one year of leadership experience required.
*Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities required.
Occupational Exposure
*This role may involve routine exposure to potentially hazardous bloodborne
pathogens and requires physical assistance, lifting, and mobility support in
accordance with safety guidelines.
