Infusion Nurse-PRN in Winslow, Arizona at Little Colorado Medical Center

The IV Infusion Nurse is a licensed Registered Nurse responsible for the safe assessment, administration, monitoring, and evaluation of intravenous infusion therapies. The Infusion Nurse provides direct patient care for patients receiving medications, hydration therapy, blood products, biologics, antibiotics, chemotherapy support medications (if applicable), and other infusion treatments as prescribed. The nurse demonstrates clinical expertise in vascular access management, patient education, adverse reaction management, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of infusion therapy principles and vascular access management.
• Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to infusion reactions and medical emergencies.
• Strong IV insertion and venous access skills.
• Knowledge of medication administration safety standards.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Basic computer proficiency and electronic medical record experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Unrestricted Nursing License
• BLS, ACLS

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Prior infusion therapy, oncology, emergency department, critical care, ambulatory care, or vascular access experience preferred.
