Description:

Position Summary

The Residential Assistant provides administrative, operational, and client-support services within the residential program. This position works closely with the Residential Director, Lead Therapist, Lead Case Managers, and other members of the Residential team to support the coordination and delivery of quality services to individuals participating in the residential program.

The Residential Assistant helps ensure that residential cases are appropriately coordinated, documentation and follow-up activities are completed, communication between members of the treatment team is maintained, and individuals receive timely, organized, and compassionate support throughout their treatment.

Scope of the Position

The Residential Assistant serves as a supporting member of the treatment team and does not independently provide clinical services, make clinical diagnoses, develop treatment plans, or make decisions requiring a licensed or credentialed clinical professional unless the employee separately holds the appropriate qualifications and authorization.

Residential Case Support

Assist the Residential Director, Lead Therapist, and Lead Case Managers with the coordination and follow-up of residential cases.

Help monitor individual needs, appointments, referrals, services, and other case-related activities as assigned.

Assist with gathering information and documentation needed to support treatment of case

Communicate relevant client needs and concerns to the appropriate treatment team member.

Support transitions, admissions, discharges, referrals, and continuity-of-care activities as directed.

Assist in identifying outstanding case needs and communicating them to the appropriate clinical or case-management staff.

Ensure assigned follow-up tasks are completed within established program timeframes.

Assist Supervisors in mitigating AMA's

Assist Residential Director with Grievance Process

Offer Support if needed during Code Greys

Supervise Peer Specialists to include Documentation of Peer Trackers

Administrative and Documentation Support

Assist with maintaining accurate and organized residential case information.

Complete assigned documentation, reports, tracking logs, follow-up records, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Assist the Residential Director and treatment team in tracking pending appointments, referrals, required documents, case needs, and follow-up activities.

Support preparation for case reviews, treatment team meetings, audits, and other program activities.

Maintain confidentiality of individual information in accordance with organizational policies and applicable privacy requirements.

Communicate professionally and appropriately with individuals, families, providers, community partners, and staff when authorized.

Program and Operational Support

Assist the Residential Director with day-to-day residential program needs and special projects as assigned.

Help facilitate communication between residential staff and clinical/case-management teams.

Assist with identifying barriers affecting the delivery of residential services and communicate them to leadership.

Follow organizational policies, procedures, safety protocols, ethical standards, and documentation requirements.

Perform other duties related to residential services and client care as assigned by the Residential Director or authorized leadership.

Assist Team in coordinating weekly transportation schedules for individual's served

Requirements:

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social services, behavioral health, psychology, human services, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in residential services, behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, social services, case management, or a related setting preferred.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and follow-up skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.

Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with individuals who may have complex behavioral health, social, or support needs.

Understanding of confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical responsibilities.

Basic computer proficiency and ability to use electronic health records or case-management systems, as applicable.
