ABOUT PALIHOTEL SAN FRANCISCO:

Palihotel San Francisco is a well-located, well-crafted boutique hotel in the heart of Union Square, featuring 82 fully renovated guest rooms. This historic property has been reimagined to appeal to a broad range of guests — tourist families, design-minded business travelers, tech conventioneers, and international design enthusiasts alike.

POSITION PROFILE:

We're looking for an upbeat, espresso buff to prepare and serve coffee drinks, small bites, and other refreshments at Palihotel San Francisco.

THE TASK AT HAND:

• Create a warm, friendly, laidback atmosphere that turns first-time guests into regulars.

• Learn our steps of service, products, menu, and systems inside and out.

• Take orders, make espresso drinks, and serve coffee and other refreshments from the bar.

• Answer guest questions about ingredients and kindly adjust milk, sugar, and espresso ratios to preference.

• Work with the team to keep the coffee bar, restaurant, and bar running smoothly, tidy, and fun for guests and staff alike.

• Restock, replenish, and prep the coffee bar and side-work areas as needed.

• Collaborate with hotel staff to make sure overnight guests know about the bar and restaurant's exclusive offerings.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Required

• 1 year of related experience in a similar position, preferably in a high-volume restaurant.

• Clear thinker who stays calm and resolves problems using good judgment; works cohesively as part of a team.

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical

• Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk and bend, and push, pull, or lift up to 30 lbs.
