About This Position
I'm looking for an energetic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Barista/Cafe Worker at Common Grounds location in Fairfield, CA 94533.
As a Barista/Cafe Worker, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to our cafe guests, crafting delicious beverages, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the cafe area. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for creating delightful experiences for customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and taking orders from customers with a friendly and positive attitude
- Preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Operating coffee machines and other cafe equipment efficiently
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the cafe area, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment
- Assisting with stocking and replenishing cafe supplies as needed
- Providing knowledge and guidance to customers on menu items and specials
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a genuine interest in providing exceptional customer service. Previous experience in a cafe or customer service environment is preferred but not required – we are willing to train the right individual who is eager to learn and grow with us.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Availability to work part-time, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Food handler's permit is a plus
