Job Description
Position Overview:
The Aesthetician is an integral part of our med spa team, responsible for providing elective skin care
services to patients. This role requires a combination of clinical expertise, excellent communication
skills, and a dedication to ensuring patient satisfaction. The Aesthetician is entrusted with conducting
consultations, administering treatments, and educating patients on skincare regimens and products.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Consultation and Education:
- Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their skin care needs and goals.
- Provide personalized instructions and educational materials tailored to each patient's unique
skin type and recommend adjustments to their skincare regimen as needed.
- Assist in service knowledge training for non-clinical staff members.
Treatment Administration:
- Administer medical aesthetic treatments according to established treatment plans and patient
orders.
- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of treatments while maintaining patient comfort and
satisfaction.
- Uphold elevated customer service standards as set by the practice.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Collaborate with other aesthetic providers in the practice to develop comprehensive treatment
plans and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records documenting treatment procedures, product
usage, medication history, and distributed educational materials.
Marketing and Social Media Assistance:
- Actively create content for social media platforms by collecting video and photo content
showcasing treatment procedures, before-and-after results, patient testimonials, and education
on products/services.
- Collect and save photo release forms from patients to ensure posting compliance.
- Collaborate with the local and corporate marketing team to ensure content adheres to branding
guidelines and promotes the practice's services effectively.
Compliance and Maintenance:
- Adhere to patient communication protocols defined by the practice and seek supervision when
necessary.
- Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and maintain treatment rooms and work areas
in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA standards and compliance in all aspects of work.
Professional Development:
- Participate in in-service educational programs and staff meetings to stay updated on industry
trends, advancements, and best practices.
- Maintain a valid Aesthetician and laser hair removal license (if needed) in accordance with
state regulations.

Qualifications:
? High school diploma required.
? Current State License as an Aesthetician (additional Laser Hair Removal Technician may be
necessary depending on State requirements).
? Minimum of two years of experience in a medical office setting as an aesthetician or laser
technician preferred.
? Extensive knowledge of skin care treatment, elective services, and products.
? Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
? Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
? Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
? Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
? Empathetic approach towards patient needs and concerns.
Working Conditions (includes physical demands):
? Prolonged periods in a stationary position; must be able to remain in a stationary position up to
50% of the time
? The person in this position occasionally needs to move about inside the office to access
equipment, etc.
? Uses hands/fingers to operate computers and other office machinery, such a calculator, copy
machine, and computer printer
? May need to stoop and kneel to access files, or other equipment
? The person in this position needs to be able to communicate information and ideas so others
will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
? The person in this position may need to move, transport, position or lift boxes weighing up to
twenty pounds across the office for various needs
