Job Description

Description:

About Us:

In loving obedience to James 1:27, we serve in under-resourced communities by helping kids grow, teens lead, and neighbors thrive together.

Why This Role Matters

At Mission 1:27, we believe children deserve safe spaces, strong leaders, and faith that shows up consistently. Our Adventure Center Directors don’t just manage programs…they shape culture, ignite faith, and lead people toward purpose.

We’re looking for a leader with infectious energy, audacious faith, and impeccable relational integrity - someone who can build trust, inspire teams, and connect deeply with children, families, and community partners.

If you love Jesus, believe leadership is influence, and see children’s ministry as both sacred and strategic—this role may be for you.

The Impact You’ll Make

As Adventure Center Director, you will:

  • Drive life-changing impact by leading a high-quality afterschool and summer camp program rooted in faith, excellence, and purpose
  • Champion measurable growth in Discipleship, Academics, Personal Development, Leadership, and Citizenship for every child served
  • Shape meaningful relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners that build trust, stability, and belonging
  • Create safe, inspiring spaces where children are known by name, feel deeply valued, and are spiritually nurtured
  • Multiply your influence by developing and empowering a mission-aligned team through clear vision, prayer, accountability, and encouragement
  • Safeguard and advance the mission by upholding the values, integrity, and reputation of Mission 1:27 in every interaction
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in children’s ministry, education, Christian-based leadership, and/or youth development
  • Active Christian faith and church involvement
  • Strong communication, leadership, and public relations skills
  • Ability to manage teams, programs, and relationships with integrity and excellence
  • Creativity, flexibility, humility, and a teachable spirit
