Job Description
The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for administering employee benefits programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and leave policies. This role ensures employees understand their benefits options, remain compliant with regulations, and receive accurate support for benefits-related matters.
Contributions:
- Assist with administering employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
- Manage employee leave requests and associated processes surrounding employee leave programming
- Assist employees with benefits questions and general support
- Maintain accurate employee benefits records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, COBRA, FMLA)
- Work with insurance providers and vendors to resolve issues and improve service
- Prepare and distribute benefits communications, materials, and announcements
- Support open enrollment processes and benefit education sessions
- Audit benefits billing and invoices for accuracy
- Administrators leave programs-FMLA, STD, LTD, Worker’s Compensation

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in HR, benefits administration, or related field
- Knowledge of benefits programs and applicable laws/regulations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
