Certified Pharmacy Technician, Inpatient, 1st/2nd Shift
Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Supports & assists the Pharmacist in the medication use process by providing safe and efficient medication management & patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric), physicians, employees, and the public.

  • Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution.

  • Functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients.

  • Responsibilities include IV admixture, assisting the pharmacist with the dispensing of medications, maintaining medications in unit-based cabinets, taking verbal refill approvals from providersoffices, insurance verification, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.

Qualifications

Required:

AND one of:

  • Pharmacy Technician (PHT), KY OR Pharmacy Intern (PHI), KY

  • You can register for either licensure by clicking here: Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

Desired:

  • 1 year experience working in pharmacy.

  • High School Diploma or GED
