Bartender in Arizona, Texas at Cocopah Casino & Resort/Event Center

SUMMARY

Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to Casino patrons of the bar by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Takes orders from customers for liquor, beer, wine, and food.
• Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
• Accurately input orders in the Point of Sale System and cash out patrons.
• Arrange bottles and glasses to make an attractive display.
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks, Stocks & rotates beer, liquor, and juices.
• Makes drinks for cocktail servers when needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Maintains a clean and safe bar area
• Washes glassware and any utensils used.
• Engages with patrons and gives good customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Follows all policies & procedures for bartenders.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be certifiable by the Cocopah Tribal Gaming Office.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends, holidays, and late shifts.
• Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Must obtain a food handler’s card
• Must have liquor law training within 6 months of hire date.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 6 months of work experience in a related field.

In the entertainment industry, one may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, and stress.
