Position Overview

The Armed Security Specialist – Driver is responsible for the secure transportation of high-value product while providing armed security services in transit. This role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgment under pressure, a clean driving record, and the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations while complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Essential Responsibilities

• Transport high-value product securely and safely between designated locations.
• Provide armed security services throughout the transportation process.
• Maintain situational awareness and identify potential security threats or suspicious activity.
• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents.
• Carry, draw, and operate a firearm in accordance with applicable laws, training, and LDG policy.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation laws and regulations.
• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation and security services.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
• Immediately report significant incidents, safety concerns, or security violations to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining security responsibilities.
• Follow all LDG policies, client post orders, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• CSO Card or ability to attain
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Duty firearm with Level 2 Holster & mag Pouch
• OC spray
• Must be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm.
• Minimum of 3 years of armed security experience preferred.
• Experience in secure transportation of high-value items preferred.
• Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable and able to report to assigned locations on time and as scheduled.
• Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending on assigned route.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to wear required duty equipment for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations.

Schedule

• Shift: Monday – Friday; Flexible hours
• Full-time & Part-time hours available
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

What We Offer

• Compensation: $155/day
• Armed Licensing Sponsorship Program: Liberty Defense Group will cover the upfront cost of your required CSO Card. The licensing costs will then be repaid through payroll deductions over an agreed-upon period, making it possible for qualified candidates to obtain their required credentials without paying the full cost upfront.
