System AI Workflow & Automation Analyst in North Kansas City, Missouri at North Kansas City Hospital

SUMMARY: The Health System AI Workflow & Automation Analyst analyzes, designs, implements, and optimizes automated workflows that improve operational efficiency, patient experience, workforce productivity, and organizational performance across the health system. This role bridges healthcare operations and technology by translating clinical and operational needs into scalable automation and AI-enabled solutions, including practical use of large language models, prompt engineering, and intelligent automation. The analyst partners with operational leaders, clinical teams, patient access, revenue cycle, population health, information services, analytics, and informatics to implement technology-enabled workflows that create measurable value.

EXPERIENCE: Three (3) or more years of healthcare operational experience. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate operational and clinical requirements into technology-enabled solutions. Understanding of healthcare operations, workflow design, systems thinking, large language models, and prompt engineering concepts. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and process-mapping tools. Experience with healthcare workflows, process improvement, operational optimization, or technology implementations. Experience gathering business requirements and working with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience with healthcare workflow automation or low-code automation platforms. Relevant workflow automation certification or ability to obtain certification after hire. Experience with EHR platforms, including Oracle Health (Cerner).

OTHER: Experience with Oracle (Cerner) CCL, SQL, JavaScript, HL7, FHIR, REST APIs, healthcare interfaces, or systems integrations. Experience supporting digital transformation, workflow optimization, operational excellence, analytics, or dashboard development. Knowledge of artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering.
